This is a fully supported Sportive bike tour designed for over the hill hard boys. Ladies are most welcome. With stages of between 67k and 165k, good accommodation, good company and good food.
See Havana, Viñales and Maria La Gorda, This is not a race or is it? If you can’t cut it, just jump in the bus and cool off. Be in good shape for this one. We will hook up with the club in Pinar del Rio, just for some added fun. Beach time included two days!
We first undertook this event in 2011. At that time it became evident that we had two camps forming in this event, those who were at one time in their cycling past involved with racing and the other camp was basically made up of newbie cyclists in and around the 40/50 age bracket, they had no intention on of hurrying along and took long hauls on the bus. For this reason we decided two events were possibly a better idea.
Now we have the Deportivo, for those who wish to ride across Cuba (Every inch of the way) and have added Cyclo Temba for those not in such a hurry. For an easier version of Trans Cuba take a closer look at “Cyclo Temba”, it is an easier way to get across Cuba. No matter your preference, there is a great sense of achievement crossing Cuba by bicycle.

Hi Tom. Hope you and family are doing well. Fred stayed with us this weekend and shared the info about the Cuba ride. Looks like a blast and a great way to experience the country.
I would be interested in joining the group if there are openings in the future. This year doesn’t work because travel already scheduled. But would be on board for next year. Keep me posted. Thank,
Satch
