We highlight Cuba’s varied landscapes, immense natural beauty and rich culture in 8 short days beginning in the historic capital of Havana. Here we explore historic sites and experience the contrasts of this timeworn yet glorious city.
Our ride takes us out of the city along the coast. It includes visits to famous caves, interesting towns, ecotourism community Las Terrazas, ancient coffee farms, and it covers some gentle roads in the Sierra del Rosario biosphere and incredible experiences in Valle Viñales. The trade winds traditionally blow from the east providing our tour with a gentle tailwind.

Dec. 10th.
Arrive in Havana. Pick up at the airport by tour bus. to Café Rueda to build the bikes for the start of your trip. Transfer to the hotel in Old Havana.
Accommodation: Hotel Raquel.
Meals Included: Dinner.

Dec. 11th.
After breakfast bus to Punta Brava to visit a youth cycling Club. Ride to Las Terrazas, On the way, visit the ruins of a coffee plantation: “Ruinas del Cafetal Angerona”, located at 6 Km from Artemisa.
Cycling: 68 km.
Accommodation: Hotel Moka.
Meals Included: breakfast, dinner.

Dec. 12th.
After breakfast, 3 hours trekking “El Contento” in las Terrazas. . Lunch at Baños El San Juan. Ride to San Diego.
Cycling: 75km.
Accommodation: Hotel San Diego de los Baños.
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Dec. 13th.
Ride to Cueva de los Portales, where Che Guevara established his headquarters during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. Visit the cave. After a lunch pause, ride from La Palma to Viñales.
Accommodation: B&B in Viñales.

Dec. 14th.
This is a non cycling day. We will bus to the ferry that will take us to an island beach, where will spend the day swimming, eating and exploring the beach. In the afternoon, we will take the bus to Viñales to spend the night at the hotel.
Accommodation: Hotel Los Jazmines.
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Dec. 15th.
Ride from the hotel to the Viñales Zip line, and do the Canopy tour. Lunch at the zip line, and then, ride to Santo Tomas cave. Visit the cave.
Accommodation: B&B in Viñales.

Dec. 16th.
After breakfast, bus to Havana. Lunch in the Old Havana at Cinco Esquinas Paladar Walk the Old city. Farewell dinner at a Paladar.

Dec. 17th.
Departure day. We have done our best to show you some wonderful sights here. We hope that you return to further explore and discover the beauties of this land we call home, CUBA.

Cycle Rental
Bicycle Breeze has bike rentals at great prices. For this cycling tour you will need a hybrid bike. All will work. Should you prefer to bring your own that is fine with us, you will get the same mechanical assistance as the renters.
Check your travel company for costs of shipping your bike. Depending on your country of embarkation you may be better to rent. Renting has other positive aspects. Your bike will not get lost in transit. It is far easier to travel without a bike box and spare bikes are on the bus for renters. The negative side is that this is not your favourite ride.
