BICYCLE AND ACCESSORY RENTAL – BICYCLE BREEZE
1. Payment and Security Deposit
– Payment for the rental of bicycles and accessories is made upon pick-up, and cash only.
– The security deposit is also paid in cash.
– The security deposit will be refunded at the end of the contract, unless it is necessary to deduct repair costs, damages, or uncontracted services.
– The customer expressly authorizes the total or partial retention of the deposit to cover repair expenses.
– The security deposit does not cover the full value of the bicycles or equipment for which the renter is responsible in the case of theft or damage.
2. Renter’s Responsibility
– From the moment the bicycle is handed over, the renter assumes full responsibility for its use, protection from theft, safety, and condition.
– Bicycle Breeze does not offer technical assistance outside of their rental location once equipment has left their storefront.
– The renter must use the equipment responsibly, maintain it in good condition, and take all necessary measures to prevent damage, loss, or theft.
– In the event of theft, the deposit will be retained, and the renter must also:
1- Pay the full market value of the bicycle or equipment stolen.
2- This obligation applies regardless of the amount of the security deposit.
3. Return of Equipment
– The customer must return the bicycle and accessories to the location specified in the rental contract, in the same condition in which they were received.
– Missing accessories or components will incur an additional fee equivalent to the daily rental value until they are replaced, or the value of the accessories/components is paid for.
– If equipment is returned before the end of the rental period, no refunds or price adjustments will be made.
– The customer is responsible for all damages caused to the equipment during the rental period.
– In case of an accident, the customer agrees to pay BICYCLE BREEZE for the total cost of recovery, including materials and labor.
– The customer is also responsible for compensating any damages caused to third parties.
– The renter is responsible for the equipment until it is returned.
4. Prohibited Actions
– It is strictly forbidden to leave bicycles or accessories on the street, or out of sight, even if they are locked.
– Failure to comply leading to theft will result in having to pay the full replacement value of the rented equipment, as the deposit does not cover its total value.
5. Reservations and Cancellation Policy
– Reservations are made online only.
– A reservation guarantees the availability of the equipment for the selected date.
– Reservations must be made for a minimum of 3 consecutive days.
– The rental period begins at 9:00 a.m. on the first reserved day.
– Equipment may be picked up anytime from 9:00 a.m. onward.
– The bicycle must be returned before 4:00 p.m. on the last rental day.
– In case of delay, the customer must notify the shop immediately.
– Refunds are not available for early returns.
– Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance.
– Reservations requested on shorter notice may not be processed. For urgent requests, please contact a Bicycle Breeze representative directly.
– A reservation is confirmed only when the customer receives an email stating that the equipment is available and officially booked.
6. Accidents and Safety
– BICYCLE BREEZE is not responsible for any accidents occurring during the rental period.
– The customer is fully responsible for their actions and must comply with all local traffic laws.
– Although not mandatory, it is strongly recommended that the customer have personal insurance covering injuries or damages to third parties.
– The use of a helmet is mandatory.
– The customer is responsible for cycling carefully and respecting all safety and traffic regulations.
– BICYCLE BREEZE is not liable for accidents caused by negligence, violation of traffic rules, or improper use of the equipment.
– The customer agrees to assume full responsibility for any personal or material damage occurring during the rental period.
– The customer acknowledges the inherent risks of using bicycles and agrees to take all necessary safety precautions.
