Visa and Flights Advise
If you’re based in the UK, your visa (aka Tourist Card) may be included in the cost of your flight, this would need to be confirmed with the airline. Alternatively, a visa can be bought directly from the Cuban embassy in London or online from an official retailer. I would recommend buying the visa a few weeks before travel to mitigate for any possible delays with postage etc. In terms of best airline: Virgin Atlantic were the only airline offering direct flights from the UK to Cuba however the airline hasn’t resumed flights to Cuba since the pandemic.
Air France / KLM would be my first choice. Air Europa is somewhat cheaper but is a lesser option. SkyScanner: https://www.skyscanner.net is a great website to use for flights and travel options.

I’m nervous in the waiting line at Cuban immigration, but I know I shouldn’t be. I did everything right.
Still, this is Cuba. if visiting Cuba as an American. Can Americans travel to Cuba? Yeah, we can. This country has been off-limits to us since 1959 — though that hasn’t stopped lots of Americans from visiting Cuba both legally and quasi-legally.

It’s an expression that will color my face for days, until a cycling tour starts in Havana and sets me straight.
Best Way to Get a General License
If you are a regular person who wants to visit Cuba as a tourist, I recommend getting a general license under the “Support for the Cuban people” travel category.
